Passing on Belief, A Responsibility

Passing on Belief, A Responsibility

Not long after I began blogging back in 2008, one of my readers suggested that I keep to my fitness related posts and stay clear of those relating to the business. He or she insisted that those interested in Beachbody’s multi-level marketing (mlm) opportunity were clearly in the minority. S/he added that by talking about the business I was putting off my readers.  The last thing I want to be perceived as is an icky network-marketer, so I heeded to the advice by keeping my business related posts to a bare minimum. Fast forward 3 or 4 years since that comment was made. As one of the elite coaches in a network of over 75,000 people, I see it as part of my mission to help others see just what is possible as a Beachbody coach. I know I have something valuable to share and I am going to do so unapologetically. I receive a lot of messages from coaches asking for tips, advice, and mentorship. With only 24 hours in a day, my one on one work time has to be devoted to my team and my customers. But by blogging about coaching and sharing what I know, I hope to help other coaches seeking guidance. Yesterday I co-hosted a “Super Saturday” event at Beachbody Headquarters in Santa Monica, California with my friend and elite coach, Nick Husin. These quarterly events offer coaches an opportunity to come together to celebrate the previous quarter’s achievements & happenings as well as to find out what we as coaches can look forward to over the next 90 days. From personal...

Business Professional Seeking More

I’ve always been a teacher at heart. When I was a little girl I would line up my dolls and teddy bears and teach. I don’t remember the lessons, but I’m sure it was something I had learned in school that day or maybe I shared whatever I thought was important for them to know. Throughout my young life, my teachers were my role models. Ms. Lasuv in first grade was full of love. Mrs. Sklar was so strict and maybe cold, but I liked her. Mr. McCloughlin was a jolly man who would give us books for good behavior. It took me a full year to earn Helen Keller. See, I was always a great student, but with ants in my pants. I could literally name every teacher I had up until high school, that is how much impact they had on me. So it was only natural that I would one day become a teacher myself. Because I grew up poor on public assistance, I was a bright child with something to prove. In my mind I thought I had to get my Phd to prove my worth. So I did. From age 2 to 33 I was a student. I finally obtained my PhD in French literature in 2007. I landed my first and last teaching job at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. I LOVED being in the classroom. I LOVED helping my students learn and grow. The research requirements of my job killed me though. Honestly and truly, I am not a researcher. The obligation of having to do something that was simply not...

Beachbody Coach Dallas |You’re in Control

If you’ve been thinking about becoming a Beachbody Coach Dallas, then you have to read this post. I’m not kidding. It could help you make up your mind whether or not to make the leap. If you’re already a Beachbody Coach Dallas, then you really need to read this. It could help you decide if this is something you want to continue pursuing. If you think I’m about to tell you that being financially successful as a BeachBody coach Dallas is a piece of cake, think again. Nothing worth pursuing is easy. Nothing. There is nothing more rewarding than doing something you love and getting financially rewarded for it. But, attainment of financial freedom through network marketing takes time, patience, creativity, and persistence. That’s a mouthful, but it’s the truth. Donald Trump described network marketing in a way that might scare you, but if you’re self-driven, it will excite you: “Marketing is a powerful tool, and network marketing can increase that power, provided that you’re self-motivated. In a simple visual, see a product and remove the advertising agency from it. It’s up to you to do the marketing and advertising for it.” Wow. Talk about speaking succinctly! “…take a product and remove the advertising agency from it.” Granted, BeachBody spends about $150 million yearly in advertising. But, it’s up to us as a Beachbody Coach Dallas to decide how you will share the BB experience with others and that’s the hard part for most folks. I’ve said this ad nauseum, but it really is worth repeating: I did not become a Beachbody Coach Dallas to make a buck. I...

Beachbody Fitness Coach | It’s About Who You Become

A few months ago I did this self development training where I had to walk down a line of people with my eyes closed while the workshop participants, who I had gotten to know intimately, whispered their appreciation for me and the gifts that I had bestowed upon them in my ear. I cried my way along the line, as each person told me how I loved I was, how they saw my beautiful soul, how I was kind, how I was a beautiful woman both inside and out. I felt worthy of that praise and could feel the words were uttered from the heart. Last night as I made my way to the other side of the room at the Beachbody Leadership Welcome Reception, I stopped to talk with coaches that I both knew and didn’t know. One Beachbody fitness coach I didn’t know stopped to tell me how much what I had done in the business mattered to them.  Another Beachbody fitness coach told me how I had been a pioneer and thanked me for all I had done for the company. A few shared with me how I had inspired them or thanked me for how real I am.  I just truly felt the love. The Beachbody coaches I have known for years, some in my team the Empire, some not, just were so open and loving toward me. The feeling was mutual. The feeling in both cases was humbling and incredibly touching. In the past, I don’t know if I would have been able to receive such love and praise. Maybe people had been telling me these kind...

Beachbody Fitness Coach | Success Story in the Making

I wanted to share one of my team member’s story. She is a Beachbody fitness coach. It literally brought me to tears. We are changing lives!! *** I am a Beachbody fitness coach. have been given the honor of sharing with you today!! What I have learned about leadership is that consistency and praise are vital components in a great leader. Anyone can lead but a GREAT leader will have a strong team and a large following of loyal teammates. A strong leader always acknowledges the hard work of their team and offers true praise, encouraging the rest of the team to do the same. This creates a positive environment giving everyone the opportunity to thrive!! Right now I am reading The Compound Effect (which I got as a SC5 bonus) but quite honestly I haven’t gotten into it consistently. I’m sporadic with my PD and would like to get more strict with my time schedule and MAKE it a priority. I am also listening to How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie for the 3rd time on audible.com. It’s so full of great advice on how to deal with people in a positive manner in spite of a negative situation. I have applied many of these concepts such as be agreeable to discontinue an argument! ( This works with my husband! lol) The best way to win a fight is to not fight at all. There truly is no winner if you are proving a point at the expense of someone else’s feelings, pride or confidence. I originally chose this book because it was on...

Beachbody Coach Training | 10 Tips for Success

My seven years as a Beachbody coach have afforded me the opportunity to gain a bird’s eye view of what makes a successful coach, as well as what makes for an unsuccessful one. Whether you’re a coach looking to be successful in the business or you’re considering becoming a coach, this tip sheet will guide you in your journey. Use it as a checklist. If you can say that you do each of these things, you will be much more likely to succeed. If you are honest with yourself and admit that not all of these apply to you, this is good news! It simply means you have an area or areas to work on.   Are you ready? Here are your 10 Tips for Success as a Beachbody Coach:   1. Coaches who succeed take 100% responsibility for their success or failure. This means that they don’t wait for their sponsor to make them successful. They don’t blame others (including their coaches, their spouses, or customers) or the lack Beachbody coach training. If they are to succeed, successful coaches understand that it’s up to them, despite any life obstacles that may come their way.   2. Coaches who succeed are engaged. They engage with their team in private groups, by listening to team calls, by actively participating in Beachbody coach training, and by connecting with other positive-minded members. They also engage with the Team Beachbody network by listening to the weekly National Wake Up Call, by participating in events such as Super Saturday or Team Cup Challenges. Unsuccessful coaches go at it alone; thus they feel alone. If you...
